Nouveau

nouveau = new, different, developed, recently created

this is a collage i made, i like to make collages out of magazine clippings and i decided to scan some of them.
this one is called Nouveau.

to me its about becoming an adult, being set free. kind of like a someone just getting out of college or highschool...wanting to be independent and facing the challenges that lie ahead. say...finding somewhere to live, a job, thinking about their future, looking for love and discovering themselves. the girl obviously symbolizes the adult, and the glass heart represents her looking at life in a completely different way, the shape (heart) represents looking for love. the lost in the corner represents feeling lost and lonely, but its upside down because its in the back of her mind like she doesnt want to admit it. the princess, crowns, etc. are there as her motivation and confidence, to be strong. and last but not least...the different and random background represent a new environment.

i kind of summed up my thoughts.
